Focussing on themes of loneliness and emptiness in old age after the loss of his family, La Roche - a retired pianist/tutor - now turned recluse, befriends a spritely finch; reigniting his zest for life and music.

British Social Realist Drama
A semi-autobiographical tale of a working-class boy and his companions in a rural setting near Leeds, West Yorkshire, growing up in a toxic masculine environment with few prospects.
Affixed in the build-up to Christmas, 2006, the feature captures the protagonist’s first dealing with existential crises and angst, offering a class-defined response to the anxieties of life, death, morality, and mortality.
The feature implements imagination and narrative immersion through key elements of setting, events, emotive content, narrative, pacing/intensity, and characterisation.

A dark-satirical-horror-comedy take on the teen-high school genre, made popular by movies like Heathers (1989), Jawbreaker (1999), and Mean Girls (2004). Along with nonsensical violence and tongue-in-cheek social commentary dealing with veganism, cannibalism, teenage suicide, and school shootings.
